Customer Growth Rate Calculator

Measure how fast your customer base is growing over any period, net of churn.

Customer growth rate

What it measures

Customer growth rate is the net change in customers over a period divided by the starting count. It nets new wins against losses in one number.

Why it matters

Net growth is what compounds. A team adding 50 logos while losing 40 is working five times harder than its growth rate shows.

A worked example

From 300 customers to 345 in a quarter is 15 percent growth. Annualised, that pace roughly *1.75x*es the base in a year.

How to read and improve it

Split the number into gross adds and churn before acting on it. The same 15 percent can hide very different businesses.

Frequently asked questions

Net or gross growth?

This calculator gives net. Report both internally so churn stays visible.
