Blended CPL Calculator

Combine spend and leads from up to three channels into one blended cost per lead.

Blended CPL

What it measures

Blended CPL pools spend and leads across channels into one number: what a lead costs the business overall, regardless of where it came from.

Why it matters

Channels borrow from each other: brand search harvests what social planted. The blended number absorbs that attribution mess and answers the budget question.

A worked example

3,000 for 50 leads on one channel and 2,000 for 25 on another blends to 66.67 across 75 leads, even though the channels report 60 and 80.

How to read and improve it

Watch blended CPL as you shift budget between channels. If it falls while volume holds, the mix improved, whatever each dashboard claims.

Frequently asked questions

Blended or per channel?

Both. Per channel numbers steer optimisation; the blended number steers budget.

Why does blended CPL beat attribution models?

It does not model anything, which is its virtue. Total money divided by total leads cannot be gamed by attribution settings.
