Conversion Rate Calculator

Divide conversions by visitors and see your conversion rate, with context for judging it.

Conversion rate

What it measures

Conversion rate is conversions divided by visitors for the same period and page set. Define both terms tightly or the number drifts.

Why it matters

Conversion rate is the multiplier on everything you spend upstream. Doubling it halves every acquisition cost you have.

A worked example

90 conversions from 4,500 visitors is 2 percent. If those visitors cost 2.50 each, every conversion carries 125 of traffic cost.

How to read and improve it

Test the offer and the friction before the design. Most conversion problems are promise problems, not button colour problems.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good conversion rate?

2 to 5 percent is a common band for B2B landing pages, but the honest benchmark is your own last quarter.

Sessions or unique visitors?

Either, applied consistently. Mixing them between reports makes trends meaningless.
